• November 23rd, 2023: Shubham presented one of his research works at The 77th Annual Technical Meeting of The Indian Institute of Metals and International Conference on Metals at KIIT, Bhubaneshwar, India, from 22nd to 24th November 2023.

• October 30th, 2023: One of our works related to machine learning and nuclear materials (Machine learning-based predictions of yield strength for neutron-irradiated ferritic/martensitic steels) was highlighted in news articles of the Hindu and TOI.

• October 30th, 2023: Abhinav was selected for a prestigious PMRF fellowship. Congrats :-)

• June 21st, 2023: Maadhav and Jai successfully defended their M.Tech. Thesis works. Maadhav joined Cradlewise, Bengaluru, as a lead design engineer, and Jai will be heading to the University of Cambridge, UK, to pursue Ph.D.. Congratulations & best wishes to both of them :-)

• May 20th, 2023: Chethan's collaborative work on the "Microstructure and defect evolution in oxygen ion-irradiated pure nickel – Insights from experimental probes and molecular dynamics simulations" published in Materials Chemistry and Physics. Congrats :-)

• May 19th, 2023: Shubham's work on the "Cyclic deformation behavior of an equiatomic CrFeNi multi-principal element alloy" published in the International Journal of Fatigue. Congrats :-)

• May 15th, 2023: Srujana (Intern from IIT Jammu) joins our group. Welcome :-)

• April 26th, 2023: Chethan and Shubham presented their respective research works at The 4th International Workshop on High Entropy Materials (IWHEM 2023) at DAE Convention Centre, BARC, Mumbai, India from 23-25th April 2023.

• December 22nd, 2022: Shubham and Jai presented posters on their respective research works at the Platinum Jubilee Conference of our department entitled ‘Perspectives in Materials Research’ from 21st to 23rd December 2022.

• November 30th, 2022: Prof. Kevin Hemker and other renowned materials experts from the US visited our Lab.

Professor Hemker is a well-known materials expert from Johns Hopkins University, where he focuses on the mechanical behavior of materials. He also happens to be our PI's Post-Doc advisor! Professor Hemker and the students enjoyed discussing their shared academic family tree!
