Simran was born and brought up in Jhalrapatan (Rajasthan). She did her schooling in Jhalrapatan, followed by a bachelor’s in metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Srinagar. Simran thereafter earned her Master’s in Materials Engineering from IISc Bangalore. She joined our group as a Project Assistant in August 2022. Her research interests include understanding the dynamic behavior of materials and material optimization for structural applications. Simran's favorite hobbies include classical dance and music, cooking, crafting, and exploring new places.
