Professional Identity

I firmly believe that all students thrive when they feel safe and are encouraged/empowered to realize their utmost potential. It is my responsibility as a counselor and leader to foster a school environment that embraces inclusivity and is welcoming.  That means standing against unfairness like racism and other discrimination that could hold students back from reaching their full potential asipirations.

To do this, I need to understand my own biases and how they might affect students. I will commit to constantly learning about the challenges students and their families face and find ways to make them feel included and supported. I believe in making sure everyone's needs are met equitably, so I'll work to create a safe environment for all students at school.
