Under the TDP Programme, I was given the chance to attend Singapore Perspectives 2023 regarding the work culture in Singapore. This programme taught me a lot regarding the mechanisms behind the way we view Work.  For instance, many speakers explored the links between upbringing and work culture. A few speakers also clarified the role of unions and their relationships with companies. The highlight of the day, of course, was hearing DPM Mr Lawrence Wong give his speech. Ultimately, the whole programme and the discussion on "Work" in Singapore was extremely thorough and relevant, especially since we are transitioning into post-pandemic times. I am incredibly grateful or this opportunity.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the initiative to find attend virtual internships to broaden my horizons. I completed General Electric's Human Resources Program,  which included modules on Compensation & Benefit and the LEAN approach to reduce waste.  Although this field is one different from my fields of interest, it was eyeopening to experience a corporate setting at a young age. This internship also allowed me to further develop my communication skills and critical thinking.
