At the age of 14, I was the youngest youth journalist working at the Star Media Group on Internship in 2018 and 2019. The Star Media Group publishes the most widely circulated newspaper in Malaysia. I was given this opportunity after being in the final top 10 Youth Journalists of the Star Newspaper's Youth Journalism Program for two years in a row. 

Through this opportunity, I was able to experience worklife in a high-pressure environment like the NewsDesk. I was also able to raise awareness on pressing issues like mental health and education, even interviewing a University Professor on Pyschology. To this day, I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.

In the year 20/21, I was the Editor-In-Chief of my secondary school's annual yearbook. Although this was a school-based society, the Editorial Board experienced the process of real-world publications.

From curating the content to designing the layout and arranging publishing logistics, the Editorial Board led by students and teacher advisors managed to produce a school yearbook despite the COVID-19 pandemic. 

I am very grateful for this opportunity as it helped enhance my communication skills, online and offline. Leading a team to record the highlights of a whole school year was not an easy task, especially during the pandemic but, by God's Grace, we did it!
