Standard 7 - Assessment – The competent teacher understands and uses appropriate formative and summative assessments for determining student needs, monitoring student progress, measuring student growth, and evaluating student outcomes. The teacher makes decisions driven by data about curricular and instructional effectiveness and adjusts practices to meet the needs of each student.
7K ) This artifact is a test that I created was to determine that understood the cognitive views of learning. My test relates to this standard because it is a summative assessment that monitors and gauges student progress and will let me as a teacher know where each and every one of my students is at and where I need to meet them to help them understand the concepts of the lesson. My professional growth can be seen through this test because it allows me to tend to my student's needs. Furthermore, I am able to use technology to track my students' individual growth and get data from this to better help them in their weak spots.
7J) Also, my assessment allows me to keep a record of my student's test results with useful data both for the entire class and individually.
