For this project, I had to look up examples of the four different types of digital media and cite them. The purpose of this project is for students to learn how to credit sources properly and understand what falls under fair use in the copyright system. For this page, I wanted to include references to one of my favorite bands, My Chemical Romance. This link will take you to their personal website if you find yourself interested in them!
Discussing the importance of copyright, plagiarism, and fair use made me acknowledge that it easy to plagiarize while not realizing you are. I also learned about a new website called Creative Commons that provides people a means of publishing their own works that allows others to use those resources under fair use.
Proper Licensing:
"My Chemical Romance" by NRK P3 is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 2.0.
I used Creative Commons to find this picture. I typed in "My Chemical Romance". Then, I followed the link attached to the image to Flickr. I downloaded the medium size (800x450), saved them to my device, and uploaded it here.

For this section, I used a GIF from Giphy.com. Giphy provides its users a way to embed the code, so I embedded it straight into my website. I found this gif by searching "animation" in the search bar and I really liked the rain cloud. If you click on the three dots next to the artist's name, you can see a brief description of the animation which I will list below. I also could not find proper licensing information, so I checked Giphy's Terms of Use, and it says that the gifs on their website are fair use due to the length of the gif. I will give the artist credit in the description down below since licensing isn't available.

For this section, I wanted to include a My Chemical Romance music video. This link will take you to their featured page on YouTube and maybe you will discover a new artist you like! I selected the song "Helena" by My Chemical Romance. This is one of their more popular songs and is the most "school appropriate" video of theirs. I embedded this video into the page from YouTube.com . Using YouTube videos for academic purposes falls under fair use, however I couldn't find exact licensing. I will try to give proper credit to the fullest extent down below.

I found this audio on freesound.org and it is audio of a round of applause. I chose this sound because I thought it was a fun way to end this page. After creating a free account on freesound, I downloaded this audio as a .wav sound file and uploaded it to my Google Drive. I then embedded the audio file for my website.
