This assignment allowed me to work with some CBAs online to collect and analyze data. This document gives the reading and math tests I used as well as the procedure, data, and analysis.
This connects to IPTS standard 7I which states that the competent teacher "knows assessment and progress monitoring techniques to assess the effectiveness of instruction for each student." This assignment gave me an opportunity to assess and monitor student progress through some tests. I collected data that was helpful and informative for future instruction.
I learned about various assessments as well as this online platform and how to use Easy CBM. I learned how to connect data to creating an analysis and more.
I created this chart just to track data after a chapter math test. It was a great spreadsheet way to organize student data by section and skill.
This connects to IPTS standard 7M which states that the competent teacher "maintains useful and accurate records of student work and performance." I was able to just quickly put together this chart to maintain some initial records I needed before having access to the official gradebook.
I learned that it is super helpful to organize student scores by section or skill. Each page of this test had a different skill, so by tracking it this way instead of jsut an overall score, I could easily see what skills each student would need more instruction in.
