About Me
Hi! My name is Alyssa Alvarado, and I am from San Diego, California. I am a second-year student at the Dominican University of California and am also playing women's basketball. I am an Elementary Education major and will be entering the Occupational Therapy Doctoral program after finishing my undergraduate program. I hope this website can help you learn a few things about me and my beliefs on education.
My Basketball Journey
I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old. Basketball has been a very big part of my life, and it is a big part of who I am today. Playing competitive basketball for so many years has taught me things like leadership and teamwork. I have also created so many great memories throughout the years and hope to continue creating new ones. Basketball has also brought so many great people into my life. Playing collegiate basketball has always been such a big dream of mine, and coming to play basketball at Dominican has been such a blessing in my life. I am very grateful for the people who helped get me here, and a big thank you to basketball for the memories and for shaping me into who I am today!
