Google Forms - Getting To Know You

While taking the course Technology in Education at Trinity Christian College, I was introduced to a variety of strategies in order to achieve Standard 5 - Instructional Delivery specifically the "problem-solving and ongoing modification" required to enhance student learning. I was taught how to engage students in a new way by creating a getting to know you google form. In the form I ask specific questions of students, use visuals in order to guide reasoning, that help to break the ice of the first day but that will also tell me valuable information about each individual student. The google form checks on the emotional, social and interests of each child. It then collects the data and presents it to me so that I can use that data and information to better reach and support each student. The classroom environment is ever changing and this google form can be modified throughout the school year and can be used to check on the social and emotional of each student, but can be used to check understanding on specific lessons and standards that each child will need to meet.
