My name is Alisha Saadat and welcome to my Professional Learning Portfolio. A few of my teaching goals are to be able to create a learning environment where students can gain and apply knowledge to the best of their ability. I also want to be able to create a space where every student and staff feels comfortable and welcomed. Another goal of mine is to not only be a guide for the students but be able to learn with them. I want to be the kind of teacher that Joe Ruhl (2015) describes as “more of a guide on the side rather than a sage on the stage” (4:40).
