Hi, I'm Alec!
As a game developer, I'm drawn to all things games - playing, watching, and making them too, of course!
I earned my B.S. in Computer Science Game Design at the University of California - Santa Cruz in Spring 2021. Afterwards, I decided to pursue an M.S. in Computer Science (Game Development) at the University of Southern California, graduating in Spring 2023.
Currently, I'm a Full-Stack Software Developer at Skyway Technologies, an up-and-coming start-up focused on providing efficient solutions for the Urban Air Mobility industry. My current role involves leading the development of a complex front-end application geared towards improving air traffic safety and vertiport operations for eVTOL aircraft. While it's not exactly the same as working on a game, I find many similarities while working with the same tools and prioritizing my development towards improving the user experience.
Some more about me -- I'm a huge fan of card games and puzzle games, but I'll enjoy just about any genre. Some of my current favorites include Balatro, Expedition 33, Hades, Hollow Knight (on my way to 100% Silksong!), Elden Ring, League of Legends, and Slay the Spire.
Some of my other non-gaming hobbies include bouldering, cooking, gardening, origami, and playing the clarinet.
