Albemarle/Charlottesville 4-H is fortunate to be able to participate in and host local livestock shows. See below for list of local shows for the year.
This program offers competitions such as livestock judging and stockmen's contests as well as livestock shows at the county, district, and state levels.
The 4-H Youth Livestock Program is the largest animal science project area enabling youth to develop their interest in cattle, sheep, goats, swine, poultry, and rabbits in their 4-H projects.
The Albemarle/Charlottesville 4-H Livestock Show will be held in conjunction with the Grace Church Farm Tour in Keswick, VA at the Grace Episcopal Church. This is an opportunity for youth to show their animals and gain valuable skills from showing under the eye of a judge. This show is open to 4-H'ers doing a livestock project in Albemarle/Charlottesville and Fluvanna County. We will start the day off with a rabbit hopping class. This will also be the 3rd year we host a Home Arts Show for 4-H Members, registration below. For more information about the Grace Church Farm Tour, please visit their website.
