AIIDE is proud to announce three workshops this year! See their descriptions below.
The Experimental AI in Games (EXAG) workshop is a workshop traditionally held at the AI for Interactive Digital Entertainment conference (AIIDE). At EXAG, AI practitioners from academia and industry are given a platform to showcase their work on new applications of AI in games. Beyond being just a workshop, EXAG aims to foster a community where new ideas can be proposed and developed within the space of the workshop itself, thanks to sessions that emphasize showing, teaching, and inventing, alongside the traditional paper presentations.

The Workshop on Automated Game Design (WAGD) is a new workshop at the AI for Interactive Digital Entertainment conference (AIIDE). At WAGD, researchers and practitioners from academia and industry alike are given a platform to showcase their work on systems that generate, modify, and reason about game design. WAGD aims to open up new conversations at the frontier of automated game design. From procedural content generation and mixed-initiative tooling to fully autonomous design systems, WAGD aims to bring researchers and practitioners together to experiment, collaborate, and imagine what it means to design systems that design games.

The Designing Neuroinclusive Human-AI Interactive Learning Environments is a new interactive workshop that explores how AI can support the design of inclusive learning environments through gamification, simulation, role-play, adaptive feedback, and other participatory formats. The session connects AI in education with AI for interactive digital experiences, focusing on how playful and human-centered design can make learning more engaging and responsive for diverse learners. The workshop is designed as a participatory session rather than a traditional paper-presentation workshop. Attendees will engage in discussion, case analysis, and collaborative design activities focused on inclusive human-AI learning experiences.
