Artificial Intelligence and Boomy: Boomy uses artificial intelligence to compose new pieces. Unlike many AI composers, Boomy was not trained on existing music, reducing the possibility that it would be just recreating the work of others.
Privacy Highlights: Boomy requires users to create an account to create pieces. It also allows you to release your works to streaming services, publishing the artist name you list as well as the title and recording of the piece. Generating revenue from songs you create requires a PayPal account. Due to the ability to generate profit and the publishing of the artist name, you should check your school policies before having students release any pieces. You may also want to get parent permission before having students use the site. For more information, check out Boomy's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Background: Boomy was designed to make creating music accessible to everyone. It was created by Alex Mitchell and Matthew Cohen Santorelli.
