Study Hints for Foreign Language Students
Pay attention in class. This will make your assignments seem easier. In class, listen carefully and try to imitate the teacher (aloud or silently). By doing this you will improve your speech habits. It is important that you learn and memorize ideas, not just words.
Read aloud when you are alone. By doing this, you will improve your pronunciation and language fluency.
Do your homework when it is assigned. Homework is an important part of the learning/practicing process.
Do your daily work and try not to cram at the last minute for a quiz, test, or any other classroom performance.
Build on what you already know. As you continue acquiring a second language, you have to know what you learned the day before, the week before, the month before.
