Dedicated and experienced dance professional, Ms. Afrika Abney, leverages her formal training and education to provide top-tier workshops, performances, and instruction in dance to a diverse array of students in the Washington, D.C. region. With a proven track record of delivering exceptional dance consulting services to small businesses, dance studios, and nonprofits, including renowned organizations such as African Heritage Dancers and Drummers, and Memory of African Culture, she is adept at fostering a deep appreciation for dance within the community. Ms. Abney's versatility shines through her role as a substitute dance instructor at Joy of Motion Dance Center (2013 - 2015), West African Instructor for various Summer Camps (2013 - 2015), and as a dance performer (1996 - 2016) for esteemed groups like Akoma Drummers and Bele Bele Rhythm Collective.
Currently, she offers services in event promotion, press kit creation, and graphic design tailored to dance-related events, ensuring a seamless and captivating experience for all involved.
