文大哲學系近年試圖以美學研究為發展特色，希望能從對美學經典和當代研究文獻的研讀，發現美學與其他哲學學科（如知識論、知覺、道德情感等等）之間的聯繫。
由於美學議題的觸角往往伸及不同的哲學學科，我們也希望可以由原本具有不同哲學學術專業的研究者，可以共同討論，不受各自學術單位與領域的侷限，但遵守合理溝通的要求，一起閱讀美學文本。
We have been attempting to deepen our investigation into aesthetics. It is characteristic of aesthetics to interlace with other fields of philosophy, epistemology, theories of perception, moral psychology and so on.
So we run aesthetics reading groups, to build a place for real dialogues among different fields of philosophy, when we are focusing on some key issues in the aesthetics.
