Complex systems (CSs) refer to a type of system characterized by numerous interacting elements that collectively achieve a holistic outcome. Many STEM practitioners and researchers deal with and study CSs due to the prevalence of CSs in our world and the fact that many imperative issues, such as climate change, pandemics, biodiversity loss, and energy consumption, emerge from this type of system.
