CMD625 - MOTION DESIGN PRODUCTION 🗒️✏️
WEEK 1 - 20
During the first week of my internship, a significant focus was placed on learning essential skills, particularly how to proficiently use editing software relevant to the tasks at hand. I was given the task to create the video content for their product which is Crystal Snow Skincare, a "Tudung" tutorial for Afiya Siti Signature Square Bawal, and a Motion Video for the Beaunest Campaign, I learned how to shoot the product and handle all the problem in editing software, also as I honed my skills, the learning process not only demystified the intricacies of editing software but also instilled in me the confidence to creatively manipulate and enhance visual content.
On week 02 of my internship, I created a new design for BeauSiti websites and design for the SimplySiti VIP Member website "Pop-up" which is all the design editing using Adobe Illustrator, a powerful tool for graphic design and illustration, making it an essential skill set in my toolkit for graphic design.
This week, a notable highlight was completing the task of designing two posters which are Promo Tiktok Crystal Snow and a website poster for SimplySiti VIP Members. This challenge required a fusion of creativity and technical skills, as I utilized graphic design software to bring the concepts to life. This hands-on project not only showcased my ability to meet deadlines but also demonstrated the practical application of my growing design expertise. Other than that, the new face of the BeauSiti Website will be launched on 25 Oct 2023.
Week 04, I only focused on making posters which were Weekend Special and Cosmetics Sales posters, also added some Motion elements to the Weekend Special poster
This Week 05, I was given the task to do some Announcement videos and Mugshot videos to post on BeauSiti Instagram which is according to the set schedule. For these two video, I used After Effect for editing to make the quality look better.
This week marked a culmination of experiences that solidified my role within the team which is the big event of Beautessence product Lauching, I, as part of the team, played a role in making the event successful.
In Week 07 of the internship, I was given the brief and task to do a Unique Selling Point (USP) poster which is the USP of BeautEssence product. To make this poster, I prefer to use Adobe Illustration to get good quality and sharp. The process of making this poster has challenges that require creative problem-solving skills and may encounter situations where I need to think innovatively to address design issues, overcome constraints, or find unique visual solutions that align with project objectives.
Week 08, Here are some tasks that I was given which is Meet & Greet Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza ft. Watson poster. One poster for Meet & Greet at Watson, AEON BANDARAYA MELAKA, and One poster for Meet & Greet at Watson, AEON SEREMBAN 2. This poster is inspired by Watson's colors and has a cheerful and youthful look and feel. Keeping up with design trends today may be assigned the responsibility of researching and incorporating current design trends into my poster, ensuring that the company's visual assets remain fresh and appealing to the target audience.
In Week 09, I was given various tasks by my supervisor Mr. Hairie, to create five posters for the 12.12 2023 promo on Tiktok and Shopee. Week 9 might bring forward design challenges that require innovative problem-solving. could be tasked with finding creative solutions to design dilemmas, and pushing the boundaries of their skills and understanding of visual communication.
Week 10, there is the poster that I designed for the new product "Glazey" to launch next year. I used Adobe Photoshop for the editing, to make the manipulation design with the feminine theme. These designs should align with the brand identity, capture the essence of the new product, and resonate with the target audience.
This week 11, before diving into the design process, I spent time researching similar product posters, studying design trends, and seeking inspiration. This step helps in developing a clear vision and ensuring that the posters are both innovative and aligned with current design aesthetics. I designed another poster in Adobe Photoshop for "Glazey" and should align with the brand identity and theme.
Week 12, back to the daily poster about the promo poster for "Clearance Sales" on 29 Dec 2023. During this week I only focused on the "Clearance Sales" poster which highlights the only product that the brief and task mention.
Week 13, to create a poster that resonates with the artist's persona, I spent time researching the artist's work, style, and public image. This research helps in capturing the essence of the artist and infusing it into the design. This week also, I designed another "Glazey" poster that mention the brand identity "It's Time To Jam !"
This week presented an exciting challenge as I delved into the aesthetic intricacies of designing posters for a range of purposes. Firstly, I immersed myself in crafting a visually captivating poster for a Perfume Embrace, one of SIMPLISITI's products. Balancing elegance and allure, I meticulously considered every visual element to evoke the essence of the fragrance and appeal to the target audience. Besides that, I took on the task of creating a poster for the "Follow&Win" campaign associated with a new product launch which is Glazey, aiming to entice engagement and generate excitement among the audience. Simultaneously, I worked on product content posters for Glazey tailored for the Instagram feed, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing representation of the brand and trending. This week is also the birthday of Malaysia's No. 1 singer Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza which is on 11 January 2024.
In the 15 weeks of my internship as a graphic designer, my role shifted towards the meticulous creation of production content, focusing specifically on crafting posters that spoke to the Unique Selling Points (USP) of Glazey products. Precision became paramount as I aimed to communicate these unique attributes through a series of posters that not only captured attention but also resonated with our target audience. Next, I design the daily promotion posters, which is "Timeless" product one of SIMPLISITI products, each requiring a distinctive visual identity to convey urgency and drive customer engagement. Overall, I create all the designs in Adobe Illustrator to make the best quality of posters.
In week 16 of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, I took on a multifaceted project that showcased the synergy of graphic and motion design. The primary focus was on developing visually compelling posters that effectively communicated the Unique Selling Points (USP) of our Glazey products and this was the result that I made. Besides that, I ventured into motion design by crafting dynamic content videos for Glazey's Instagram Feed. Through the integration of animation, transitions, and engaging visuals, these videos aimed to captivate our audience and deepen their understanding of the product's unique qualities. Next, the photoshoot day was dedicated to capturing compelling visuals for the launch of a new product with KOL (key opinion leader) of the product with any props to make the shoot have an identity of Glazey.
This week was a dynamic blend of creativity and strategic design as I focused on crafting visually compelling posters that would set the stage for the soft launch of the Glazey product. I ensured the posters seamlessly combined the allure of the celebrity which is TikTok Live featuring a well-known celebrity which is Nurel Baharin, the winner of the Dewi Remaja 2023 edition with the essence of the product, creating anticipation and excitement among the audience. This holistic approach to production content for a TikTok Live soft launch underscored the importance of creating visually striking and cohesive designs that align with the brand, celebrity persona, and the platform's dynamic nature. It was a week that not only expanded my skills as a graphic and motion designer but also provided invaluable insights into the intricate balance required for successful collaborations in the ever-evolving landscape of social media marketing.
During the 18 weeks of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, I was deeply engaged in the production of content, with a focus on crafting visually compelling posters for Glazey. One significant project involved designing a poster to announce the winners of the Soft Launch Glazey event and Glazey Instagram Feed Poster, a pivotal moment in the brand's journey. This poster required careful consideration of elements to convey the excitement and prestige associated with being selected as a winner, while also maintaining consistency with Glazey's brand identity. Additionally, I worked on creating a poster calling for beauty influencers to join the SIMPLYSITI community. All the posters are edited in Adobe Illustration to make the best quality poster image. Besides that, I mix the illustration element with the Model image in one poster and also the product image.
In the nineteenth week of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, my focus was on the production of content aimed at enhancing the brand presence of Glazey. One of the key projects I undertook was designing a poster highlighting Glazey's Unique Selling Product featuring the face of Nurel Baharin. This endeavor demanded a delicate balance of creativity and strategic thinking to effectively showcase the product's unique qualities while leveraging Nurel Baharin's influence to captivate the audience. Additionally, I delved into motion design to create a dynamic video that complemented the poster, showcasing Glazey's content in an engaging and visually appealing manner. Simultaneously, I worked on poster content for the Crash Campus event poster, illustration elements, and captivating visuals to draw attention and generate excitement for the upcoming event. This week reinforced the importance of strategic visual storytelling in driving brand engagement and fostering connections with the audience across various digital platforms. For the motion video, I created the storytelling to see how the motion works after edit in After Effects to make the Motion look fun.
In the final week of my fifth-semester internship as a graphic and motion designer, I dedicated my efforts to producing compelling content for the Crash Campus x Unitar event. Drawing upon my design skills and creative vision, I crafted a poster that effectively conveyed the event's key details while capturing the attention of the target audience. Additionally, I delved into motion design to produce a dynamic video that complemented the poster, bringing the event to life through captivating motion and engaging visuals. This motion video served as a powerful promotional tool, amplifying the reach and impact of the event across various digital platforms. Also, All the motion edits are in Adobe After Effects. As my internship came to a close, this final week exemplified the power of strategic design and motion graphics in effectively communicating and promoting events to a wide audience.
