CMD615 - Project Preparation 🗒️✏️
WEEK 1 - 20
On the first day as an intern at SIMPLYSITI, I was filled with a mix of excitement and nervousness as I stepped into the office, eager to embark on this new professional journey. The morning began with warm introductions and a comprehensive orientation session, where I gained insights into the company's culture, values, and expectations. Meeting my team members was both comforting and inspiring, as they welcomed me with open arms and provided a sense of camaraderie.
Throughout the first week, I dove into various tasks and projects given by my supervisor Mr. Hairie, gradually familiarizing myself with the daily operations and workflow. On Monday, I was given the task according to the brief given, which was to create video content for their product, which is Crystal Snow Skincare. The next day, I was given a brief and task regarding video content "Tudung" tutorial for Afiya Siti Signature Square Bawal. That same week also, I was given a brief task to do a Motion Video for the Beaunest Campaign to post on BeausitiOfficial Instagram Post.
On the week 02 of my internship unfolded, I attended meetings, which is about how to design and handle the Beausiti and SimplySiti websites. Then, I was given a brief and task to design Beausiti Websites which is need to launch next week.
The second week marked a significant progression in my internship journey, as I started to feel like a more integral part of the team, My supervisor En. Hairie continued to provide valuable feedback, helping me refine my skills and improve my work.
Entering the week 03 of my internship, I was assigned the task of a Promo tiktok Crystal Snow poster and website poster for VIP Members. This week also, I attended meetings with team Web Impian who guided the process of BeauSiti Websites before the day of the BeauSiti Website launch on 25 Oct 2023.
The week 04 marked a significant milestone as I reflected on my professional journey, appreciating the continuous learning and growth that defined my internship experience which is the next project with the creative team in SIMPLYSITI is BeautEssence Campaign and Event. Besides that, for daily work, I was given the task of doing a Weekend Special & Cosmetics Sales poster, and the poster needed to be posted in Motion version.
This Week 05 presented new challenges that pushed me to further expand my skill set and problem-solving abilities, I was given the brief and task to do some Announcement Video and Mugshot video to post it on BeauSiti Instagram which is according to the set schedule.
On week 06, the BeautEssence + Event launched on 14 November 2023 and I was given the task of making 3 posters for a simultaneous post on BeauSiti Instagram and a Motion video about BeautEssence +
In Week 07 of the internship, I was given the brief and task to do a Unique Selling Point (USP) poster which is the USP of BeautEssence product. There are four Unique Selling Points (USP) posters that my supervisor passed to me and look at how the creativity of my poster looks like. At this point, As intern is likely to receive a mix of challenging and diverse tasks that align with the increasing trust placed in their abilities encountered during this stage.
Week 08, interns are likely to encounter a continuation of challenging and varied tasks, building upon the skills and experiences gained in the previous weeks. Here are some tasks that I was given which is Meet & Greet Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza ft. Watson poster. One poster for Meet & Greet at Watson, AEON BANDARAYA MELAKA, and One poster for Meet & Greet at Watson, AEON SEREMBAN 2.
In Week 09, are likely to be engaged in advanced and impactful tasks that further solidify my skills which is I was given into various tasks by my supervisor Mr. Hairie, to create five poster for 12.12 2023 promo and here's some brief for the poster.
Start of week 10, there is a new product to launch next year! experiences an exciting and pivotal moment as the team gears up to launch a new product. This week involves a blend of creative collaboration, strategic planning, and active participation in meetings to ensure the successful introduction of the new product. Here are the first task for new product that I was given which is to create a poster of "Glazey"
During Week 11, the focus shifts to a specific and impactful task: only focus on creating posters for the new product. This task requires me to apply my design skills and creativity to produce visually compelling and girly posters. At the beginning of the week, Mr. Hairie ordered to produce another "Glazey" poster. This includes understanding the key features of the new product, the target audience, and the messaging that needs to be conveyed.
Week 12, another task for this week which is back to the daily poster about the promo poster for "Clearance Sales" on 29 Dec 2023. During this week I only focused on "Clearance Sales" poster.
In Week 13, I receive a new and exciting task: creating a promotional poster for an artist's birthday treat which is "Siti's Birthday Treat". This task not only requires design skills but also involves capturing the essence of the celebration and conveying it visually.
This week was marked by a series of exciting projects that demanded a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design. I was given a task to make a poster of Perfume Embrace, one of SIMPLISITI's products, by editing using realism techniques. Besides that, I was also given the task of making Glazey product content posters for the Instagram feed and Follow&Win Glazey posters for an upcoming product launch. I also had the opportunity to refine my proficiency in industry-standard design software, experimenting with new techniques and staying abreast of the latest design trends.
This week 15, presented a unique challenge as I had to not only convey the distinctive features of Glazey products but also create a visually striking composition that would resonate with our target audience. Delved into the exciting realm of promoting the Unique Selling Point (USP) of the product through a captivating poster design. Besides That, I concurrently worked on a daily promotion poster, which was to create a poster "Knock Down" for the "Timeless" product.
During week 16 of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, I engaged in a multifaceted project that showcased the versatility of my skill set. The primary focus was on creating a compelling poster highlighting the Unique Selling Point (USP) of our Glazey products. This involved a strategic blend of impactful visuals and concise messaging to effectively communicate the distinct advantages our products offer to customers. Simultaneously, I ventured into the realm of motion design by crafting a dynamic content video for Glazey's Instagram feed. This involved seamlessly integrating animation, transitions, and engaging visuals to captivate the audience. Furthermore, the week included an exciting photoshoot day dedicated to capturing compelling visuals for the launch of a new product with KOL (key opinion leader).
In week 17 of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, I was thrust into an exhilarating project that took my creative endeavors to new heights. The focus of the week centered around the soft launch of Glazey product, with a unique twist – it was set to take place on TikTok Live featuring a well-known celebrity which is Nurel Baharin, the winner of the Dewi Remaja 2023 edition. My responsibilities involved crafting a visually stunning poster that not only encapsulated the essence of the product but also conveyed the excitement of the soft launch event. Balancing the vibrancy of TikTok's platform with the sophistication of the product, I integrated engaging visuals, dynamic typography, and the allure of the celebrity into the design.
In week 18 of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, the focus shifted towards project preparation content, specifically in the realm of designing posters for the announcement of winners for the Soft Launch of Glazey and Glazey Instagram Feed Poster. The challenge was to convey the excitement and prestige of the event through visually striking content. Crafting a poster involved incorporating elements of celebration and more trending design with illustartion concept. The design aimed to highlight the exclusivity of being a winner while maintaining a connection to the overall brand identity. Simultaneously, I worked on another compelling poster, this time calling for beauty influencers to join the SIMPLYSITI community. This poster required a delicate balance between aesthetics and information, as it called upon influencers to participate in the brand's journey. Collaborating closely with the marketing team, I ensured that the design elements resonated with the target audience and aligned seamlessly with the overall campaign strategy. This week marked a crucial phase in project preparation, emphasizing the significance of visually compelling content to enhance the brand's presence and engagement within the beauty community.
In 19 week of my internship as a graphic and motion designer, the focus transitioned towards strategic project preparation content, encompassing the creation of visually compelling materials for Glazey. The highlight of the week was designing a poster that unveiled Glazey's Unique Selling Product featuring the esteemed face of Nurel Baharin. Crafting this poster required a meticulous blend of elegance, authenticity, and the ability to convey the product's unique qualities through the ambassadorship of Nurel Baharin. Ensuring a seamless integration of the celebrity endorsement with Glazey's brand identity, the poster aimed to captivate the audience and elevate the product's market presence. Concurrently, I delved into the realm of motion design to create captivating video content for Glazey, leveraging animation and engaging visuals to enhance the brand's storytelling. Additionally, I worked on a poster for the Crash Campus initiative, employing strategic design to convey the dynamic nature of this upcoming event. It was a week marked by a strategic approach to project preparation, where visual storytelling played a crucial role in shaping the narrative for Glazey's upcoming ventures.
In the final week of my semester 5 internship as a graphic and motion designer, I was immersed in project preparation, particularly focusing on creating impactful materials for the upcoming Crash Campus x Unitar event. The highlight of the week was designing a poster that encapsulated the essence and excitement of this collaborative initiative. The Crash Campus x Unitar poster demanded a strategic blend of creativity and information dissemination, aiming to attract attention and convey essential details about the event. Through thoughtful design elements and engaging visuals, the poster aimed to spark curiosity and drive participation among the target audience. Additionally, I ventured into motion design to create a dynamic video that complemented the poster, bringing the event to life through animation and captivating visuals. This motion video served as a powerful tool to amplify the reach and impact of the event, capturing the audience's attention across various digital platforms. As my internship journey came to a close, this final week reaffirmed the significance of strategic design in creating compelling visual narratives that drive engagement and participation in events and initiatives.
