Strahler Stream Order:
As far as streams go, it is important to segment each portion of the tributaries in the river system as a whole. From the highest points to the lowest points. this can be important in analyzing stream networks because of the diversity that can be found in the different areas and elevations of a stream. What this tool does is assigns values to the tributaries and allows for the data to display the change in depth, width, as well as speed of the river. Two small tributaries or first order streams that converge are what make up a second order stream and are important in the calculation the stream order.
