This map shows the affected areas after a portion of the Chevron oil pipline ruptured in Emigration Canyon, near Salt Lake City. The affected area of Emigration Creek spanned a total of 8.65 kilometers (5.37 miles) downstream (stream dipslayed in blue) as well as the 250 meter zone surrounding the stream itself.The parcels of land affected are that of private owners and were also within the 250m buffer zone.
Contained in this map book are 4 detailed maps containing the contaminated zones of Emigration Canyon. Each map is rendered in 1:7500 Scale and are displayed using the NAD83 UTM 12N.
