There are two categories of awards that are given out ACR Conference Awards and ACR Awards. The ACR Executive Assistant will work with those involved with the "ACR Awards" (Early Career, Fellows, ACR/Sheth Dissertation). As ACR Conference Chairs you are only responsible for the "ACR Conference Awards". Please have award names, emails, and paper/film titles sent to ACR's Executive Assistant by August 1.
ACR Conference Awards:
Nicosia - 2023 Conference Chairs - Selected by the Conference Co-Chairs
Working Paper – Selected by the Working Paper Track Co-Chairs
Judge's Best Videography - Selected by the Videography Track Co-Chairs
Judge's Best First-Time Videography - Selected by the Videography Track Co-Chairs
All Conference Co-Chairs
Other (Some Conference Co-Chairs have elected to send plaques to other participants/volunteers, ie Keynote Speakers, AE's, etc). Note: not all chairs do this and it must come out of the conference budget.
ACR Awards:
Presidential Award – given to current year's ACR President
Early Career – Selected by an appointed committee chosen by ACR President
ACR/Sheth Foundation Dissertation Awards - selected by Sheth Foundation Representative (Sharon Ng (2022, 2023, & 2024)
Fellows – Selected by a committee
The conference co-chairs need to find out the plan and preferences for running the Fellows session from the fellows session chair (chair of the Fellows committee).
All monetary awards will be prepared by the treasurer with the help of the Executive Director and Assistant.
