The Sheriff's Reserve Program is the Ada County Sheriff's Office's way to allow for civilians to be deputised part-time, allowing these part-time Deputies, known as Sheriff's Reservists, to operate as law enforcement officers without the constraint of a shift-time quota.
As of the 20th March, 2026, the Sheriff's Reserve Program is only in place for what the Sheriff's Office considers, "Honoured Members," primarily including former Command or Leadership.
