The purpose of this project is to research and understand the mechanism behind freeze tolerance of wood frogs that allows them to survive during the freezing months during winter. As well as to how this understanding could be applied to freeze organs to improve organ transplant success in healthcare.
Dream Catcher touches on colonialism, cultural loss, and resilience. When the heart and mind align as one, solace may only exist in daydreams. While residential school survivors are with us and long after they are gone, we must carry their voices forward, ensuring the fight for equity continues.

My research project explores the existing written history of modern girlhood in nineteenth and twentieth century Canada. This study reveals Canada’s deep-rooted colonial past. It examines the way girls and young women were seen as a tool and a threat to the colonial Canadian project in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The study of this written history demonstrates large knowledge gaps in historical research and calls for a more comprehensive historical narrative.

Forensic pathology is a technique used in the determination of cause of death in suspicious or non-natural cases. In this video, the application of molecular autopsy, a revolutionized forensic tool was explored in the determination of the causes and circumstances of a death and implications of this technique are considered.
This story follows a young Black boy adopted by two White dads as he navigates questions of his identity, belonging, and heritage. Through a heartfelt exploration of open adoption and diverse family structures, this story challenges traditional narratives and empowers young readers with a broader understanding of love and family.

Using archival texts and digital analysis, this video uncovers the colonial and moral ideologies embedded in these books, and how student marginalia reveals moments of resistance, questioning, and agency in shaping historical narratives.

This study explores how birdwatching influences psychological well-being through awe and attention restoration. By measuring skin conductance and self-reported feelings, preliminary findings suggest that birdwatching evokes more awe and may leave people feeling more mentally refreshed compared to viewing nature landscapes alone.
