The Pandemic's Effect on Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dental clinics in Tampa have taken measures to comply with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health department guidelines in this complex new setting. These procedures are placed for everyone's safety, especially during this time of pandemic. Patients who arrive early should park in their vehicles or locate parking spaces in the front of the hospital during the day, and those who do not arrive should sit in their cars. In addition, only a small number of visitors are permitted to accompany the patient, and the patient should travel alone wherever possible.

In addition, there may be no paperwork that has to be completed prior to your appointment. For example, medical questionnaires and invoices would be submitted to the patient virtually and ahead of time. Aside from the less paper and contactless process, personal protective equipment (PPE) is given to both staff and patients, usually fresh and disinfected PPE. Aside from the facemask and face shields, those with extreme skin irritation should have their hand-sanitizing gloves and facepieces with them when they arrive, whether they are waiting or not.

The first to note, of course, is the schedule we plan appointments during the day to avoid scheduling conflicts with clients. This is particularly crucial as it comes to appliances and areas that might be heavily contaminated and need meticulous cleaning, such as the waiting room, so we'll have plenty of time to complete these tasks. With these being implemented, it ensures safe and secure for all involved.

Visits to the Dentist After the Pandemic

It has been proved to be so in the case of other practices in most hospitals that only had dental care for emergencies after all other practices have closed their doors. Clinics are also free to reintroduce oral consultations, clear X-rays, and fillings, as well as cosmetic treatments such as whitening and bleaching. Because of the temporary restraining order's termination and discretionary doctor appointments, others are allowed to offer limited restorative dentistry services, such as replacing cavities and fractures.

Since we have less patients visit in a day, others prioritize critical and preventive treatments, but, elective procedures are more difficult to complete on quick notice. A simple way to describe this is to say that there are fewer cosmetic dentistry visits each week. Treatments such as extractions, fillings, or some other form of surgical procedure may be scheduled ahead of time.

Prevention is Preferable to Cure

The majority of hospitals in the state can do everything possible to help the public by minimizing the chances of the Coronavirus spreading, so our office team is providing hand washing supplies for you.

Governing bodies have accepted or have pending applications in COVID expenditures that have helped us to accommodate our mitigation initiatives to date and have reached or surpassed federal and planned requirements for clustering case detection, mitigation, and tracking plans in dental offices.

Having an appointment for cosmetic care is voluntary — it is elective — but you can avoid the need for therapy because it will have little impact on your oral health or physical health.
