Eulogy for Churchill

As Mr. Abinun's position in the Kahal was "Senior Hazan" rather than "Rabbi," he was not usually called upon to deliver sermons. Interestingly, there is a noteworthy exception.

The eulogy below was delivered at the Kahal's service marking Churchill's death in 1965, and is beautifully composed by any standards, but especially considering that Mr. Abinun was not a native English speaker.
