Learning Process: Throughout my classes, I learned a lot about the learning process and how it impacts both teaching and student success. I gained a deeper understanding of how important it is to create engaging, inclusive learning environments. Below, in the learning process section, are some of my key takeaways from those learning experiences.
Functional Classroom: In my classes, I learned the importance of creating a functional and well-managed classroom. I now understand how routines, expectations, and organization all work together to support student success. One of my biggest takeaways was realizing that a positive, structured environment helps students feel safe, stay focused, and be ready to learn. Below, in the functional classroom section, are my key takeaways from these learning experiences.
In this video, I go over my research about asking questions in the classroom. It is an important part of the learning process, and I wanted to learn how to encourage asking questions in the classroom, even if you do not have the confidence to do this. Overall, this project helped me learn new techniques for being a good teacher. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to help students learn better and gained more knowledge on the topic of learning.

In a report I wrote, I talked about the process of learning. Learning is a multi-step process that involves gaining background knowledge, focusing attention, observing and processing new information, and encoding it into long-term memory for future use. Through modeling, rehearsal, and consistent practice, learners can effectively understand and apply new skills, demonstrating true comprehension. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to ensure all of my students have different ways that they learn. and I will support them as their teacher.

I learned how the TPACK framework—technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge—can guide lesson planning by ensuring that each element is thoughtfully integrated to support diverse learners. Just as different tools and technologies work better for different people, classroom technology must be differentiated to meet the unique needs of every student. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to teach students with different diversity in a supoortive way.

Students with ADHD often struggle with staying focused and managing their time, which can impact their success in the classroom. The Pomodoro Timer is a helpful tool that combines task checklists, timed work sessions, and focus music to support individual student needs and improve productivity. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to support students with ADHD in a postive way.

During student teaching, I struggled to support students with ADHD until I discovered the Pomodoro tool, which allows for customizable checklists, timers, and music to help students stay focused; by applying the CIPP model, I created a simple, daily process that supports on-task behavior and promotes a positive learning experience. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to provide tools for students with ADHD to use and help them become more scucessful.

To highlight the connection between UDL and intersectionality, I would lead teachers through a reflective activity where they create personalized slides about themselves to recognize individual learning needs. By examining their own traits and preferences, teachers can better understand the importance of designing instruction that respects the diverse identities and learning styles of all students. In this artifact, I demonstrate my ability to get to know my students on a deeper level to ensure they are comfortable in my classroom environment.
