Introduction
Bedrock Learning is a literacy curriculum program in which all Key Stage 3 students are encouraged to complete 2–4 elements each week (1 element = a pre- or post-topic test or a lesson) in either the vocabulary or grammar section of the program as part of their English homework. Each element takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
During each lesson, your child will develop their vocabulary and grammar skills through engaging fiction and non-fiction texts and receive instant feedback on their progress.
The following pages will help students learn how to use the Bedrock Learning program and guide Parents/Guardians on how they can support their children in using it. The student help guide introduces students to the core sections of the Bedrock Learning curriculum used in English: Vocabulary and Grammar.
