I am a single mother who works in a local primary school. I have been in lockdown with my boy Toby George age 9 in the Forest of Dean. We are usually so busy with our schools, work and clubs so lockdown forced us to slow down and get crafty again. We have been painting lots and crafting various things. Toby George is well known for his acts of kindness to others, and lockdown hasn’t stopped him from doing this. He has handed out copies of The Happy Newspaper to our neighbours and friends on our street, made a FREE book and toy shop at the front of our house for children to take while they are on their daily walks because the shops have been closed. He has also painted a huge display for the NHS and key-workers at the front of our house! Together we made up a basket of afternoon tea treats for the Nurses and staff at our local Lydney hospital. While the world maybe feeling a little broken right now during lockdown, we’ve tried to find happiness in the small things!
