5th Grade Math 

Course DescriptionThe instruction for the course is according to the North Carolina Standards.   This is an EOG course. IOWA tests includes material from all grades up to six.

Course Topics

How to be Successful - Memorize and master terms, concepts, formulas, processes,  etc.  Communicate what you have learned verbally; participation is very important.  Read and study the material the day before instruction, as teaching will be student-centered. 

Materials – Textbook, protractor, ruler.

AssessmentYour child will receive a grade based on attendance, participation online, quizzes and tests online, turning-in work weekly, and Study Island.

Grading Scale You must participate in order to pass this class.

5th Grade Science 

Course Description – Study of life, earth, and physical sciences according NC Curriculum Standards.   This is an EOG course.  IOWA tests includes material from all grades.
