Take a moment to reflect on your journey to school - do you live close enough to walk, do you catch a bus or train, so you get a lift, do you drive yourself?
Step 1 - think about your morning routine and what happens once you enter the grounds of the College.
Step 2 - using a piece of A4 paper you are going to 'map' this morning. Draw a long winding line - using small thumbnail sketches as well as brief written descriptions explain what happened at each point along your journey to school. Think about the interactions you had - be it with another person, an animal, nature and include these on your map.
TIPS - use the whole sheet of paper and details such as what you are for breakfast, whether a sock kept falling down in your shoe as you walked, did a bird swoop at you? You want to capture all the moments that made up your morning.
Step 3 - Once your map is finished choose one part of the map to write a short memoir. Your writing will need laser-like focus to bring the moment to life. Zoom in to capture the sounds, and textures of your experience, as well as your thoughts and feelings about the day ahead.
