Task 1:
Open a new canvas in Photoshop. Dimensions: Height> 29cm Width> 21cm Resolution>300 px
Choose a portrait to work with - can be of self or person of interest.
Download the JPG. Open/copy and resize on your new canvas and create a new layer.
Using Wacom tablet create a line drawing with closed edges.
INCLUDE: Hair area, face, neck, eyes, nose and lips, ears (if seen).
Scaffolded task. Create a line drawing using transfer technique with graphite pencil and photograph.
Choose a culture/country that is significant to you/ will inspire your imagery in your Sam Mitchell work. eg- Mexican (day of the dead/wildlife)
Create or choose a pattern in a colour scheme of your choice and apply this to the hair using a clipping mask. Remember to always apply these to new layer.
Download Adobe Capture App on your phone.
Sign in using your school email so the accounts link.
Use the Pattern section to create a pattern and send to photoshop.
Open Window> Libraries and your pattern should show up here.
If this isn't sending, save image to camera roll and email to yourself.
Colour swatch a Sam Mitchell artwork to match the blue and fill the face and neck.
Add realistic eyebrows using clipping mask, fill eyes nose and colour lips in desired colours, perhaps using fading techniques
Using the 'Burn' tool (hand symbol on tool panel) on the blue layer, select midtones and a soft brush to create shadow lines (50% max)
Find a vector of a plant that is native to your country of choice
Choose a significant animal from your country and create/find vector from this.
Choose a monumental figure/statue from your country and create a digital drawing from this.
Choose atleast more icons that can be incorporated in your image.
Choose 1 food item to implement.
