I am a peasant with very few possession, I like to have very nice things when I can but that's not very often. Then some first and second estates men came and stole all my stuff. I don't know why they are aloud to do that and have so much power.

Every peasant is the same, they are just little animals and we can do whatever we want to them. Today we took some pretty things from a peasant. They don't deserve things like that, only us nobles and clergy deserve money and nice things because we were chosen from birth.

Lately we havent had a lot of bread. Bread prices have gone up thanks to the king and queen. They have been hoarding food inside Versailles and want it all to themselves. Even if we do get our hands on some bread it will probably get taken away due to the high taxes that none of use can afford. Most of us get bullied by the nobles anyway, they always take our food.

We have way too much food. We will never be able to eat it all but its better than giving it to those peasants out there because they dont deserve it. We have so much food I sleep on a bread mattress with new bread every night. Sure the peasants might be starving but nobody cares about the peasants. The first and second estate are the only ones that matter in France.

Everyday I walk out to work in the fields with very little energy. We never get a day off or a sick day or any pity of any kind. If we can still move we can work no matter how dead we are.

I am in the second estate and I get invited to the kings parties all the time. They have so many and spend so much money on unnecessary details. Pretty soon we are going to run out of money. I don't think the king cares very much, and Madame Deficit doesn't care cause she can buy 5000 pounds of bread with just her hair.

We brought new ideas of democracy and equality to the estates meeting. But as soon as he could, our own king locked us out. He wants to keep us poor so he can grow old and fat with all the bread he has. Since the king didn't want us we made our own constitution called The Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizens

At the General estates meeting, the 3rd estate wanted to take away our power and tax us even more! how crazy is that? We locked them out so they wouldn't tear the place down when we told them it wasn't happening.

I work for whatever I can get, I scrap the bottom of the barrel. Any food I can get I will get. I don’t care what it is as long as my family and I survive. Sometimes I have to fight other peasants and nobles for food.

My life is hard. I throw parties and have to order people around. My house is so huge it seems like a chore to get to place to place. My wife also is a chore bothering me with sex and a child ugh life is all so hard.

The king taxes us so much that I cant afford a house. I must live in this box with no food or possessions, I had to sell them to pay the taxes. Most of my neighbors live in boxes too. These taxes are ridiculous. Why aren't the 1st and second estate getting taxed like us? They have all the money. Pretty soon we will have to pay body parts for taxes.

It wasn’t easy helping the Americans so I can prove france is greater than England. Am i supposed to be kind with NO MONEY? I need money so my beautiful wife can have someone hold up her heavy hair.
