Virtual Conservation internship

Tick Surveillance Job and internship

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Division of Surveillance and Investigation is seeking to employ one seasonal Tick Survey Biologist and one unpaid intern to assist the Tick Surveillance Coordinator (TSC) in conducting tick surveys at selected sites in the lower piedmont and coastal plains regions of Virginia from mid-May through mid-July.

parker dewey micro internships

Micro-internships are facilitated via the Parker Dewey platform, which connects Career Launchers with Companies in need of support. Micro-internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns. These projects enable Career Launchers to demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and build their networks as they seek the right full-time role. Unlike traditional internships, Micro-Internships can take place year-round, typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, and are due between one week and one month after kick-off.

You may apply to more than one posting if it aligns with your goals and interests. Please follow the specifications of the posting and upload all requested information, a resume will be required. It may also be useful to include a cover letter that explains why you are interested in that particular faculty member’s area of research. Only undergraduate students with work-study awards will be able to apply.
