Historical Repeats
Students who earn a D or F in a course may repeat the course and request that the lowest grade is excluded from their cumulative GPA by submitting a historical repeat form. The excluded grade will still appear on the student’s academic record, but will not influence their VCU GPA listed on the transcript. However, when applying to professional health programs all “excluded” grades are re-included into the GPA calculation during the application process. The form must be filed before the last week of classes so the cumulative GPA can be adjusted at the end of that semester.
