TEDU 551 - FOUNDATIONS OF BILINGUAL EDUCATION
This course is open to all student across campus, no prerequisites.
This asynchronous online course explores issues of equity, policy, and research related to multilingual education in the United States and how to be an effective advocate for multilingual learners. The course will focus on the historical foundations of bilingual education, models of bilingual programs in PK-12 schools, contemporary understandings of bilingualism/biliteracy development using sociocultural perspectives and current research, and the intersections of language, identity, and equity. No background or major in education required.

Calling all tinkerers: do you have a game you’ve always wanted to build? This course will explore game design and storytelling through play. Students will dissect, examine, and explore existing games and create games in small group teams, thinking beyond traditional board/card games.
A curious philosopher and Professor of Creative Practice, Berwyn Hung has always been fascinated by how things work. He pushes his students to be curious, creative, and innovative with their approach to identify and solve social and business problems, big and small. Professor Hung teaches Innovation, Experimentation, and Physical Computing courses to Brandcenter graduate students.
