Actively Learn

Actively Learn is a web-based reading platform in which students can highlight, annotate, and discuss texts. Teachers can assign texts to students individually or in groups.

Actively Learn has been purchased by VBCPS for English Language Arts classes and the program fully integrates with Canvas.

Students logging in with Canvas

Actively Learn is accessible from the course navigation menu in Canvas courses. Students will not be able to access Actively Learn from the ClassLink LaunchPad.

NOTE - If Actively Learn doesn't appear in the course navigation menu for your Canvas course, your teacher will need to adjust the navigation settings before you can access it.

Here are two ways for students to login through Canvas. [from Actively Learn Support Resources]

Option 1

STEP 1: Select "courses" from the left panel

STEP 2: Select "Actively Learn"

If this is your first time logging in, you will need to authorize Actively Learn access to your account.

STEP 3: Click on the Actively Learn logo

Option 2

STEP 1: Select "Courses"

STEP 2: Click on "assignments"

STEP 3: Click on an assignment

STEP 4: Click "Open" on the Actively Learn assignment tile

If this is your first time logging in, you will need to authorize Actively Learn
