VBCPS Student Access to Gemini & Guardrails

Who & When: High school students gained access to Gemini as of November 5, 2025. Students can only access the platform between 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, using school-issued devices.
Where: Gemini can be accessed via ClassLink or https://gemini.google.com/app.
Accountability & History: Students are unable to delete their Gemini chat history. All conversations are logged under your school account, meaning teachers and administrators can review AI usage if necessary.
Permission & Supervision: Students should only use Gemini with explicit teacher permission, supervision, and full disclosure on how it was used to help complete an assignment..
