Federal and state law mandates that access to the Internet by adults and children at public schools must be filtered. DOT has partnered with Securly to provide this filtered internet access.
Securly is set up to allow or deny access to identified sites based on the user’s assigned policy in Securly. VBCPS-owned devices have already been configured to work with Securly, but staff members using a personal device on one of our Wireless networks will need to install the Securly certificate before connecting the personal device. To do so, simply go here. Securly will automatically detect the device you are using and select the correct certificate. Installation instructions and videos to assist in installing this certificate are available as needed at the Securly site. (*Learn more about your responsibilities regarding your devices here.)
When staff members are blocked from accessing a site, they can use the Securly block page to automatically submit a ticket to the Service Desk, and that site will be evaluated, and if deemed appropriate, it will be unblocked.

Follow the link ( above) to automatically detect the device you are using and select the correct installation certificate. It is recommended that the Securly certificate be installed BEFORE attempting to connect to VBCPSPR.
