INSTRUCTIONS
Documents (transcripts in pdf only, Personal Statement essays, Supplemental Essays) requested by the University Counselor in Moshi are to be emailed as a Word doc or Google doc [essays only] using this email address andreakitomary@uwcea.org
Updates on colleges/university's selection must all be recorded in Maia Learning. All college information should be completely filled in to alert the university counselor of your intentions for early decision (ED), early action (EA I or II), or regular admission.

FALL SEMESTER 2023
Everyone Requirements:
D2 students August 21-October 20 first appointment
D1 students October 16-December 4 first appointment
Submit transfer transcripts by August 30
Maia Learning Applying List locked on December 20 (you will need to meet with your counselor to get permission to change your list)
UCAS Buzzword for UWCEA: UWCEA2024
Personal Statement (average of 5 drafts before approved)
draft 1 ED/EA/REA and supplemental essays by September 22
draft 1 regular admission to U.S. or UK by September 30
final draft ED/EA and supplemental essays by October 17
final draft regular admission and supplemental essays to the U.S. by November 3
Counselor Form completed for a counselor recommendation letter
Submit the University Counselor form by August 10
Teacher Recommendation Letters in Maia for
Cambridge/Oxford/UK Conservatories on August 24
ED/EA to the U.S. on October 16th
Regular admission/ ED II/ EA II to the U.S. on December 8th.
Common App
all Common Applications are due for submission on December 28th
Major Scholarship Programs
Submit a request to be considered for campus nomination by 30 September
Must include an explanation of why you are best suited to receive the school nomination and your CV/resume-detailed information under the APPLICATIONS section-Scholarships
SPRING SEMESTER 2023
Personal Statement
final draft to the UK by January 15th
UCAS
all UCAS submissions by January 25th
CSS Profile or ISFAF form [Financial Aid]
No later than January 30th but review U.S. college websites for specifics as deadlines vary

Transcripts-D1 ONLY
9th and 10th grade translated into English and certified transcripts due by April 20 unless other arrangements have been made
College Decision Day
U.S. schools May 1 deadline but strongly encourage all students applying to Canada and UK to commit if possible to start the visa application process
ALL U.S. financial aid letters submitted to the University Counselor by May 1
SEVIS Registration & Interview Date for a Visa-D2
Highly recommended no later than May 30th
