Two most common mistakes made by presenters
(1) Read directly from slides
The audience can become disengaged from the presentation
Keep PowerPoint slides bulleted with phrases
Presenters should strive to present more depth and detail about the topic through speaking rather than through visual aids
(2) Disregard time constraints
Presenters are expected to adhere to the time limitations for their presentations
Inconsiderate to continue speaking after room moderators have indicated that the time has expired
Fail to be present during the entire presentation session
Four to six presentations are typically grouped together over 90 minutes; therefore, if a speaker runs too long, it imposes on the time left for others
