Please bring your much-needed and greatly-appreciated contributions to the collection bin in the front foyer! Thank you! “Our classrooms typically serve approximately 20-25 students, depending on the grade level and program. Some of our greatest needs from the supply list are pencil-top erasers, construction paper, markers, foldable children’s headphones with cords, tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. While some of those items may not feel like traditional school supplies, they are among the items we use most throughout our After-school Tutoring Program.”
Misión Peniel
Immokalee is now a food desert with the closing of its chain supermarket.
One way to support the farmworkers is through contributions to Mision Peniel. We have a box in the front foyer with a list of suggested donations.
Many thanks for your help in feeding about 400-600 farmworkers a week!
Florida Decides Healthcare
It is time to let us decide about access to healthcare! Up to 3.7 million Floridians are uninsured or losing coverage. Over one million petitions from registered FL voters are needed to get an amendment to our FL constitution on the ballot. Signing the petition and encouraging others to do so is most important now.
Petitions will be available after most Sunday services or go to floridadecideshealthcare.org to obtain a petition. This is about equity, fairness, dignity and helping Floridians gain access to affordable, life-saving care. Thanks for your help!
