Our 50th Anniversary Celebration Open House on Saturday, April 11, is an opportunity to celebrate and invite the greater community to come and see where we are, who we are, and what we do. Here's how you can help spread the word:

We need your help spreading the word! As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we’d love for as many neighbors and friends as possible to join in the fun — but we need your help to reach them. If you use Facebook, please take a moment to share the invitation below (along with our 50th Anniversary logo: click here to download the logo) on your personal feed or in your Facebook events!
Your post will help us let people across Naples know they’re welcome to come celebrate with us! Here’s the message to share:
Hi Friends! If you’re in the Naples, FL area on April 11th, come join us at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Naples for a family-friendly 50th Anniversary Open House! There’ll be food, fun, music, a bounce house, drum circles, and garden tours. Meet our caring community, learn what makes our congregation thrive, and celebrate with us from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! We’re located at 6340 Napa Woods Way, Naples. FL 34116, one block south and east of Pine Ridge Road at I-75.

Dining Around the World in Naples - DAWN Starting May!!
Dining Around the World in Naples (D.A.W.N.) is a UUCGN program that runs from May through October. Each month we get together with fellow members at a different ethnic restaurant for dinner. It’s a great opportunity to meet people whom you don’t know as well and build new friendships. We can support many of these restaurants that lose business in the warmer months while giving everyone a chance to try new places.
Dinners are scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month: May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, Aug 12th, Sept 9th and Oct 14th. We will gather at 5:30 PM and we ask that you wear your UUCGN name tags. This year, our committee has expanded to hosts for all six dinners. Our wonderful Congregational Administrator, Anna, will continue to accept your reservations for attendance and share that list with that month’s host. Should your plans change, please let both your host and Anna know so we can have a better count at the restaurant.
Since we will announce the May 13th dinner, please review the restaurant website for their menu and sign up right away as seating may be limited based on a restaurant’s ability to accommodate a large group. Individual dinner checks will be provided. We look forward to having you join us for another marvelous trip as we “Dine Around the World in Naples”.

Only two spaces left! Group Tour of the Center for Great Apes Sanctuary in Wauchula, FL!!

The Sanctuary is truly a special place, not open to the public, with tours offered only under special circumstances and for educational purposes. Wauchula, FL is 119 miles away – about a 2-hour drive from UU. We plan to gather at UU at 9 am and leave by 9:15 (we will need a driver for every 3-4 people.) After the tour is over, at 1:30 we will gather for lunch at the Jaba cafe in Wauchula. Lunch will be on your own, but there will be a private room set aside for us. We would expect to return by 5 pm. The cost for the tour is $50 per person (please bring a check or credit card on the 10th). We need a minimum of 10 participants (maximum 20). We hope to include you!! 1st Thursdays!
Lunch meetings are on 1st Thursdays at 12 pm. We meet in the space between the kitchen and the Sanctuary. Bring a picnic lunch. We will make coffee and decaf. If we are lucky, someone might bake a dessert or fruit. RSVPs would be helpful in deciding how much coffee to make! First Friday!
Please bring a finger food to share and the drink of your choice
Would you like to Sponsor a First Friday gathering either at your home or at the UUCGN pavilion? The host provides the place and takes care of the details including setup and cleanup and the guests bring finger food and their drink of choice to share. Circle Dinners
Circle Dinners are social gatherings of small groups (usually 6-7, maybe 9-10 depending on available seating) who spend an evening at a members’ home sharing a meal – sort of pot-luck style. These dinners are a great way to meet new folks in a comfortable setting, or just get together with old friends for a nice evening. Bereavement Group
Please email office@uunaples.org if interested in meeting together with Joan Leary, Licensed Therapist in a supportive, confidential setting to discuss loss. Due to the sensitive nature of this group, registration is required.

Please look for the Visitor’s Welcome Table on the pavilion after service. All visitors are encouraged to come to the table to ask any questions from a membership committee member or to get to know other recent visitors at UUCGN. Look forward to meeting you!
