Shawn and Abbey Allison, our Music Co-Directors, will lead a special Forum titled "The Beauty of Music" on Sunday, October 25 at 11:30 am.  

They will also share how they think about and choose music for our Sunday services.  It should be enlightening for everyone to know what it takes to prepare for any given Sunday service!

November 22: Cyber Security by Lieutenant Brian Sawyer, Collier Sheriff's Office

Lieutenant Brian Sawyer has been a member of the Collier Sheriff's Office for 25 years. He currently works in the Prevention Services Division, is a Hostage Negotiator, and Safety Officer for Critical Events. He spent most of his career as a supervisor in the Detective Bureau and as a SWAT team member. He supervised the agency identity theft/fraud unit for several years. He has attended numerous trainings related to fraud and identity theft, has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Graduate Certificate in Global Strategic Communications. He loves working and living in the Naples area as the members of the community make it the best place to live.

The presentation will cover common types of scams. One should expect to be the victim of identity theft; how to assess it and ways to deal with it. Lifestyle changes that can minimize your victimization.  Resources available to people to help with preventing scams and also how to deal with being victimized.

A follow-up to the Healthcare Forum held on March 15:  Dr. Finkel invites you to choose a topic from his PowerPoint presentation and write a letter to local news media:  Creating an Effective Healthcare System by Dr. Michael Finkel; Letter to the Editor Template by Dr. Michael Finkel followed by published letters from our members.
