The Emporia High Spartans won the boys game, 65-42.
The Spartans trailed 3-0 before going on a 12-0 run en route to an 18-12 lead after the first quarter. Emporia High led 33-25 at halftime and increased its lead to double digits in the third quarter and never looked back. Nolan Jacob led Emporia High with a career-high 21 points while Rylan Crowell recorded a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Emporia High coach Lee Baldwin said the Spartans locked down defensively in the second half.
Emporia High’s winning streak extends to four with a 9-4 record and a 2-1 mark in Centennial League play.
