Technical Education Center (KCKCC-TEC) Partnership Programs

Through our partnership with KCKCC-TEC, students are able to enroll in a certificate program their junior or senior year. Some programs have eligibility criteria, please see the details below for more information.

Students who participate in these programs attend the high school for part of the day, and  participate in their TEC program on-campus or on the job for the remainder of the day. The program options include: 

• Auto Collision Repair

• Auto Technology

• Building and Property Maintenance

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Requires either a 3.0 or higher GPA and a C or higher in most recent English class 

OR a 227 on the Reading section of the Accuplacer

Requires up-to-date vaccinations

Requires SSN

• Computer Support Specialist

• Construction Technology

• Cosmetology

Requires a 242 or higher on the Accuplacer

Requires SSN

• Culinary Arts

• Electrical Technology

Requires a 242 or higher on the Accuplacer

Must be 18 or older at time of Fire Certification test.

How to enroll in these KCKCC classes:

1. The student must apply online to KCKCC.

2. Once the application has been accepted, the student will receive a student ID number from the college through email.

3. The student will need to use this ID number to take the Accuplacer placement test. Testing is done at KCKCC or select times at BSHS. The student must earn the minimum score required for their intended class.

PLEASE NOTE: For the 23-24 School Year, KCKCC is accepting the following alternative placement criteria in place of the Accuplacer testing.

CNA or US History Before/After 1877: 2.5+ Cumulative GPA and C or higher in most recent English class

Comp I/II, Psychology, or Public Speaking: 3.0+ Cumulative GPA and B or higher in most recent English class

4. All scores need to be turned in to your counselor. Testing must be completed prior to enrollment.

5. Complete enrollment paperwork for KCKCC during BSHS enrollment.

Concurrent Enrollment Classes through MNU are taught by BSHS faculty at BSHS.

College Algebra

Calculus

Enrollment information for MNU classes will be provided to all College Algebra and Calculus students at the beginning of the Fall semester. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to enroll for college credit.
