Dual enrollment courses are offered at Bonner Springs High School through Kansas City, KS Community College (KCKCC) and through MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU).
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to:
work towards achieving an Associates Degree by the time they graduate from high school,
become accustomed to the rigor of college courses with transitional support,
complete General Education Requirements before attending a four-year program,
or achieve a Technical Certification through the KCKCC-TEC partnership.
KCKCC classes during the 2023-2024 school year will be free!
Requires either a 3.0 or higher GPA and a C or higher in most recent English class
OR a 227 on the Reading section of the Accuplacer

How to enroll in these KCKCC classes:
The student must apply online to KCKCC.
Once the application has been accepted, the student will receive a student ID number from the college through email.
The student will need to use this ID number to take the Accuplacer placement test. Testing is done at KCKCC or select times at BSHS. The student must earn the minimum score required for their intended class.
PLEASE NOTE: For the 23-24 School Year, KCKCC is accepting the following alternative placement criteria in place of the Accuplacer testing.
CNA or US History Before/After 1877: 2.5+ Cumulative GPA and C or higher in most recent English class
Comp I/II, Psychology, or Public Speaking: 3.0+ Cumulative GPA and B or higher in most recent English class
All scores need to be turned in to your counselor. Testing must be completed prior to enrollment.

Enrollment information for MNU classes will be provided at the beginning of the Fall semester.
Enrollment information for MNU classes will be provided to all College Algebra and Calculus students at the beginning of the Fall semester. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to enroll for college credit.
