Course Description
This presentation explores the transformative role of libraries as dynamic hubs for digital resources, technological innovation, and community collaboration in the 21st century. Through case studies from the UC Merced Library and its partnerships with institutions like Yosemite National Park, participants will examine how libraries are adapting to digital challenges—from managing born-digital collections and leveraging AI/VR technologies to fostering information literacy and preserving cultural heritage. The course highlights practical strategies for digitization, data services, and interdisciplinary partnerships, equipping learners with insights into the future of libraries as catalysts for education, research, and public engagement.
