The Employment Pass (EP) is a work permit that enables international staff to work in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and stay legally in Malaysia. The pass is subject to the employment contract (up to 60 months). The Expatriates Services Division (ESD) or relevant authorities must approve the foreign talent to fill a position before the issuance of an Employment Pass can be made by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
